Hike to Gorsa bridge and Canyon

 
 
 

Two and a half hours away from the lodge we can find Gorsa Bridge.

The trip to the bridge is an adventure by itself, it also includes a 45 minutes ferry trip from Lyngseidet to Olderdalen were we cross the waste Lyngen fjord. Then after another 30 min drive we will hike 1.8 km to the bridge. The bridge is a modern bridge over a 53 mtr wide and 155 mtr deep canyon, One of the deepest in northern Europe. After challenging us self a bit by passing the canyon and enjoying the spectacular 150 mtr high waterfall near by the bridge, we will have lunch and refreshments before we return to the car and head back to the lodge. Truly a spectacular excursion from we leave until we are back

Time permitted, we will drive to the top of the mountain and the start of the Arctic tundra, not far from the Finish border
