Lyngentrappa - The Lyngen Staircase

 

An experience that let you enjoy stunning views of Lyngseidet and the Lyngenfjord.

The Lyngen Staircase is built by Sherpa’s from Nepal.

After a 50 km scenic drive through the Lyngen Alps, we reach the starting point if this experience in the village of Lyngeseidet.

From here you will have the chance to climb the 1,200 steps to the top of the path, gaining almost 450 meters of altitude, offering a breathtaking view of Giæverlia on Lyngseidet.

The Sherpa staircase is part of a longer walk that starts in the center of Lyngseidet, with an access road through Giæverlia. After 856 continuous steps in steep terrain, the Lyngen staircase becomes a path combined with steps in the steepest sections. This full hike is approximately 5.2 km.

Special information: Good health condition is required for this activity.

Good hiking shoes that go over the ankle is required for this activity.

This experience can be combined with the visit to Aurora Spirit Distillery. We will make only the ascent to the top of the staircase, and then head to the distillery, where guests will have the chance to enjoy a private tour and lunch.
